Yesterday ElsaSisters went to Matchafuku with our dearly SnapFoodie family. We would like to share our third visit to Matchafuku Japanese Dessert. Well, please read this post because it’s definitely different from our other posts about Matchafuku. Why? Because Matchafuku proudly present you their whole new menu and concept! Awesome right?
It’s been a week since they changed their menu. If few months back they only serve you matcha and vanilla soft-serve ice cream, right now they have new flavor which is Taro soft-serve ice cream. But too bad they don’t serve their vanilla ice cream anymore. But it’s okay, we have Taro soft-serve ice cream now. Their taro ice cream has a perfect texture and taste to fulfil your appetite. It’s not too sweet or creamy! Definitely this flavor would be our new favorite ice cream. MidSis who is not a fan of Taro really love it. Now let’s talk about their mouthwatering dessert!
Candyland Dreams, 33k
Lychee jelly, fruit loops, caramel popcorn, marshmallow, and caramel syrup.
This homemade taro ice cream topped with sweet caramel popcorn and caramel syrup. It also consist fruit loops, marshmallow and lychee jelly. Their lychee jelly has a really great texture and sweetness, perfect combination for this unique and eye-catching parfait.
We really like their caramel popcorn as it taste sweet but not too sweet and there is no salty taste from the popcorn. FYI you could choose what flavor that you want for your ice cream (Matcha, Taro or maybe twist which is a combination between Matcha and Taro).
Matcha Ogura, 27k
Matcha kanten, cornflakes, shiratama balls, red bean, strawberry, and oreo dust.
Well, we could say this is their signature dish. Matcha Ogura is a modification of Matcha Cake Parfait. This parfait consist of matcha kanten (like green tea jelly), red bean, cornflakes, shiratama balls (Our favorite part of this parfait), strawberry and oreo dust. You are not a matcha lover if you haven’t tried this parfait. Btw, we thought that their matcha soft-serve is getting more bitter than our first and second try. However, it’s just as delicious as how real matcha should be.
Taro Berrylicious, 39k
Strawberries, sweet potato Qballs, marshmallow, lychee jelly, fruit loops, rainbow dust, and injection of strawberry syrup.
Wohoo! This is their new Deconstruct Parfait, named Taro Berrylicious. From the name you could already guess what flavor of ice cream that they serve. It’s TARO!
Deconstruct Parfait means their ice cream and toppings are served separately. For this Taro Berrylicious they serve you a cup of Taro Ice Cream with rainbow dust and fruit loops, a bowl of lychee jelly, strawberry and sweet potato Qball (their texture was okay) and also the uber-hype injection of strawberry syrup.
How to eat deconstruct parfait: Spoon your toppings, take a bit of the ice cream and inject it with your strawberry syrup. In reality we ate it like this: Injected all the strawberry syrup to the ice cream cup, pour all the ice cream to the toppings bowl. TADA! This is how we do! Taro Berrylicious ala Snapfoodie.
Passion of Chocolate, 40k
Nutella bombs, oreo crumbs, coco pops, milo dust, almond crush, and injection of chocolate syrup.
Another mind-blowing deconstructed parfait from Matchafuku. For this menu, we decided to have twist for the ice cream. This Passion of Chocolate is a must for you all the chocolate lovers. Their Nutella bombs are the best! The shiratama balls were chewy but not overly chewy and the nutella inside the balls will melt into your mouth, it tasted heaven!
BOO YA, 39k
Fruit loops, shiratama balls, strawberry, oreo dust, POP rocks, and injection of caramel syrup.
POP rocks.. Does it ring something to you? Yes it’s the famous childhood favorite, POP candy that will pop inside your mouth. This parfait also includes fruit loops, shiratama balls, strawberry, oreo dust and injection of caramel syrup. BOO YA will bring you back to your sweet childhood memory.
Chocolate Inspired, 42k
Coco pops, oreo crumbs, banana, almond crush, POP rocks, and injection of chocolate syrup.
Should you try this? Definitely yes! Choose your ice cream flavor and taste this hippest dessert from Matchafuku, the POP rocks will boost your mood in this hot sunny day. Highly recommended for chocolate lovers.
