ElsaSisters just got back from our trip to Bandung few days ago (it’s 2D1N trip). Well, bandung is known as a city of culinary adventure by many people. Here’s one of our memorable culinary visits while we’re in Bandung.

Martabak Nikmat Andir! If you’re not Indonesian maybe you don’t know what is it. Martabak is Indonesian version of sweet pancake with various topping. The original martabak usualy combines with cheese, chocolate, or peanut as the topping. But now with the new innovations, people make martabak with many flavors such as red velvet, taro, and greentea (new). They also have various topping such as kitkat greentea, ovomaltine, etc.

ElsaSisters visited this place on our day one trip in Bandung. The owner was so friendly and they gave us a super nice service. While we’re waiting for our martabak to be served, we had a short chit-chat with the owner. Martabak Nikmat Andir was established long time ago and their father is the founder. They told us that every menus had their own technique. They also use premium quality ingredients. That’s why their martabak taste different. FYI their speciality and well known menu is Martabak Pandan with Corn and Cheese as the topping.

DA BOMBZ! It is the best-best-best martabak we’ve ever had. The compotition was just right as for the batter they don’t add any additional sugar. They also use imported greentea as the ingredients and use butter not margarine. That’s why this martabak doesn’t taste as sweet as any other martabak we’ve ever tasted. The cheese was in the right portion! Not that heavenly thick that make us like “ehh..” when eating it. This tasted so MIND BLOWING!
In the next day, before we heading back to Jakarta we spared our time to come back to Martabak Nikmat Andir. Actually we couldn’t forget their heavenly taste martabak, that’s why we came back. On our second visit, we ordered Martabak Green Tea with Corn and Cheese as the topping. Well, at first we didn’t like the idea of matartabak that combined with corn. But after hearing that their speciality is Martabak with Corn and Cheese as the topping, why don’t we give it a shot?

DOUBLE MIND BLOWING! It has a rich and flavorful taste. Must try! Anyway if you look at the picture you could assume that the martabak isn’t too thick. Yes, it’s not too thick. But they have a super perfect composition, that’s why you wouldn’t feel nauseated even after you eat more than 2 pieces. Belive us, it’s totally worth it.

From our experience, Martabak Nikmat Andir is the most delicious martabak we’ve ever tasted! Anyway, they also serve Martabak Tipis Kering aka thinner version of martbak. We bet it will also taste as yummy as their martabak. Will for sure comeback again and again and again for other flavor of their martabak. Let’s eat, foodies!
