ElsaSisters was invited to Canton Shabu-Shabu along with other foodies. From the name, you can tell that they are specialized in Hongkong style shabu-shabu. Formerly known as Canton House, Canton Shabu-Shabu also sell various kind of dimsum.
Onde Onde Goreng, 18.8k
The outer shell was crispy and the filling was just in the right portion. LilSis who never love Onde Onde Goreng fell in love with these one!
Prawn Hakau, 20.8k
We expect more than what we got that day. The shell was quite thick and the size was quite small.
Xiao Long Bao, 24k
We are a little disappointed with their Xiao Long Bao. The skin was too thick and the broth inside left a little sour taste. Maybe it was because they re-heat it so we could eat it while its hot.
Salted Egg Custard Bun, 19.8k
We love their bun. It was great, soft, and the filling was nice too. However, the filling wasn’t generously given.
Tausa Bun, 18.8k
We love how they create different form for their bun. We got the hedgehog one for their tausa. The bun and the amount of the filling was the same as their salted egg custard bun.
Chicken feet, 17.8k
Specially made for all cartilage lover. The chicken feet and the sauce was perfectly matched.
Prawn Siewmai, 20.8k
Their siewmai were quite small but taste great. You can taste the prawn when you bite it. Delicious!
After eating our dimsum, we moved on to their speciality. The Hongkong style shabu-shabu. Each person will be given 5 different kind of soup which are : Mala, Herbal, Chicken Broth, Satay, and Tomyum. For Shabu-shabu set (1 person) it will cost 99k. For Shabu-Shabu set (2 person) it will cost 189k.
We try all of their soup and here is the conclusion. Their herbal soup taste great, it will give you a boost for your day. If you happen to love spicy things, make sure you try their Mala soup. It will give you a big spicy kick! And for you who like to try new things, try their Satay soup (it is a little spicy). If you want to be ordinary, try their Chicken Broth of TomYum soup.
Beef Wagyu, 78k
Their beef wagyu was super tender and delicious. We personally love to compare it with their TomYum or Chicken Broth.
Chicken Wonton, 16.8k
We love the fact that the filling was generously given but not to much that the skin ripped off. For us, pair it with their Chicken Broth or Satay Soup. The best!
Nila Fish, (Seasonal Price)
Their Nila was great. The meat was tender and you don’t have to worry to get your hands tired -cutting the body to make it smaller- as they already cut the body. The fish was big and enough for 2-3 person sharing.
Prawn Covered with Beef, 63.8k
Our favorite! The prawn texture was genius and the beef was tender. Everything is perfect. Best paired with their Mala, Herbal, or TomYum soup.
Overall we had a quite great feast. Their shabu-shabu was quite nice but their dimsum need a little improvement we think. Let’s eat, foodies!
